The Oberlin City Pool is a state-of-the-art facility with world class features that are normally found only in custom designed facilities.
features begin with a continuous cast-in-place
concrete gutter system arranged so that thewater elevation is at deck height keeping the water "edge to edge" at
the perimeter of the pool.Adding a
special emphasis on safety, this facility incorporates an out of pool surge
tank breaking the water connection of the re-circulation
piping from the pump to the main drain and an innovative main drain design
eliminate entrapment potential on the pool bottom. A "zero
entry" component with an interactive spray array on the pool deck.For entertainment options the
pool has a baby dragon tot slide, a Mushroom water feature that has a
cascade of water flowing down, and an umbrella shade structureat the zero entry play
area and at the deep end of the pool a diving area and an open flume water slide.
There is also a masonry bathhouse, with changing area and concessions. The
restrooms were designed so that they may be accessed from the exterior,making them available to people
from the neighboring City Park.
