The Oberlin City Pool is a state-of-the-art facility with world class features that are normally found only in custom designed facilities.

The features begin with a continuous cast-in-place concrete gutter system arranged so that the water elevation is at deck height keeping the water "edge to edge" at the perimeter of the pool. Adding a special emphasis on safety, this facility incorporates an out of pool surge tank breaking the water connection of the re-circulation piping from the pump to the main drain and an innovative main drain design eliminate entrapment potential on the pool bottom. A "zero entry" component with an interactive spray array on the pool deck. For entertainment options the pool has a family slide, a water feature that has a cascade of water flowing down, and an umbrella shade structure at the zero entry play area and at the deep end of the pool a diving area and an open flume water slide.
There is also a masonry bathhouse, with changing area and concessions. The restrooms were designed so that they may be accessed from the exterior, making them available to people from the neighboring City Park.
